Sin: It is alive; it is relentless

4-26 Sin: It is alive; it is relentless. Genesis 4:6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent? 7 If you do what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Sin comes from within your flesh or nature, and also from outside. If you were to slow down the advance of sin upon your spirit, you would sense a pressure coming either from within your nature or from outside. It begins as a spark that quickly ignites and rises upward as it gains ground within your spirit. The more acceptance it receives, the faster it bursts into flame and advances. Sin is a living force, just as My Love is a Living force. My Love desires you. Sin also desires you. My Love wants to consume you. Sin also wants to eat you alive. Sin eats literal flesh. It eats the mind and the soul. Its appetite is never satisfied. It is relentless. It is alive. It is a being that, when allowed, masters you and eats you. It lives off you in the manner of parasites. A parasite cannot live without a breathing host. The irony is the sin or parasite must have a host to remain alive, but yet it literally eats its source of life. Think of anger. There is a trigger or spark from your selfish flesh or from outside you. It jumps into a flame in a second. You feel it climb upward as your flesh-thoughts give it acceptance. Your thoughts, which give sin permission, also give it authority to rule over your spirit. Now your spirit is locked in a prison, while the anger has freedom to roam your mind, emotions, and body. It continues to grow as it literally feeds on you, eating you alive. After a while, it calms down like a ravenous man calms down after eating a full meal. It still rules you, so it will become hungry and feed on you again. It will also open the door for more sin entities on the outside to join it. Together they feed on you and reproduce. What began as anger, then increased to include jealousy, pride, greed, lust, manipulation, and impatience. You are not helpless against sin. You have authority to rule over it. First, recognize what is happening. Identify the enemy in your flesh and invading from without. Ask Holy Spirit’s help. Then use your will to refuse to cooperate. Do not excuse it or give it permission to be within you. Then look to Me for help. I will remind you of your power that I gave you to bind darkness and cast it out. I gave you the key of authority. Use it.

Thoughts Day 12

Let’s close the door. If your mind has doors that open and shut to certain thoughts, can you close the doors? What are the doors to your mind? How do thoughts from outside come in? Observe a few of your thoughts that have taken up space and time in your mind. What are they? Where do you think they came from? Are they disturbing your peace? Are they trustworthy? How can you close the door that allows them to enter? How can you prevent them from entering again? Are the unwanted thoughts powerful? When you try to make them leave, do they leave? Do you feel helpless? Are you a prisoner? Would you like to have a powerful thought-gun that can shoot them down? If you had a thought-gun, would you use it? If you had a thought-gun, which thoughts would you shoot down? If those thoughts were gone, how would you feel? Do you still have a will? An ability to choose what you want to think about? Can you use your will to pull the trigger of a thought gun? Or do you like being in a boat with no oars or any way to paddle? Is it time to take over the direction of your thoughts? Is it time to close the doors to the sources of the unwanted thoughts? Do you have a Friend who will let you use His Thought-gun? Is this Friend more powerful than the sources of the unwanted thoughts? Does His Name have authority over everything? Does the sound of His Name make the sources of the unwanted thoughts run away? Is His Name the thought-gun that you need? Are you ready to try it? Notice an unwanted feeling or thought. Fire the Thought-Gun at it. JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! What happened? Take back the oars of the boat. They belong to you. They were stolen. Take them back. Use them. You are not a prisoner. You have the keys! Use them to get out of the prison inside. JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! You are not a slave of fear. Fire the Gun! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! You are not dominated by anger. You can have peace. Fire the Gun! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! Are you ready to open the Door for Light to come in? Does light make you feel better? Does light keep you from stumbling and falling down? Does light take away dark places? Do you want Light instead of darkness? Do you want Light inside of your mind? Does peace and help with your life come from the Light? How deep can the Light go? Will it fill every crack? Will it be pleasant? Will it be healing? Will it make life worth living? What is this Light? Is it alive? Is it powerful? Is it powerful enough for you and your life? Can the Light of the World fill you with living Light? What does it feel like to have Living Light inside of you? Will you think differently? Will you see more? Will you understand more? Will you be depressed or afraid? Will you be a prisoner of dark desires? Does real Light bring freedom and joy? Do you want living Light inside? When you are ready to exchange the inside darkness for Light, use your will to make the decision. You have the key to open the Door of Light. He is the Friend Who let you borrow His gun. Ask Him to open the Door so His Light will come in. Jesus is the Door that you want to be opened. You already know what it’s like for doors of darkness to be opened. JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! John 1:1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life,a and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 3:19 And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 1John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
