trials

Let Go!

I make all things brand new. Therefore I give you a new name. Let go of the past, your old opinions, priorities, rights and identity. Let Me give you a new way to view everything . . . trials, relationships, yourself, and most of all, Me. Revelation 21:5 And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Isaiah 62:2 The nations will see your righteousness, And all kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the LORD will designate. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Isaiah 40:31 But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Ruling and Reigning

The trials reveal your need. They reveal hidden aspects of your flesh that needs to be refined. They reveal My patience and Love for you. They reveal the authority I gave you over principalities. They reveal your need for more training and humility. They reveal your need for more Truth. They provide the opportunity for you to have more of Me. Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Training to Rule

I did not ask My Father to take you out of this world. You are in training to rule with Me. Leaders are not trained to avoid hardship and conflict. No, their training leads them right into exercises of trials and tribulations. That is where they learn who they really are and what they really need. John 17:14-16   I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. James 1:2-5  2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Guard your heart

Remember that emotions cover up Truth. This is seen when someone you had strong feelings toward has been out of your life for many years and you begin to notice that your attitude toward them has changed. Or after you go through a trial that terrified you before you began, you often change your mind about the level of difficulty when it is over. Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.  Galatians 5:16-24 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, … Isaiah 30:25 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling,

The Pain of Cleansing and Shaping

Hold still and quietly accept the process of My shaping  and cleansing you. Endure the hard Truth and welcome it as good. The pain of My surgeon’s knife lasts only a short while. Now, let’s leave the past and move forward on Our journey of Love. 1 Peter 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer various trials, 7 so that the authenticity of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.… James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

I Am Good and all I bring to you is good. . . .trust Me

Be still and humble in the middle of the trial. Be quiet and still. With calmness, wait on Me. I will not only provide, but I will lift you up and seat you above the others. When you humbly accept what I bring and desire My Will, even when it hurts, then I exalt you and lift you up. Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Philippians 4: 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

The Joy in Suffering

Contrary to earth logic and thought, there is great freedom that comes with submission to pain and suffering . . . freedom that cannot be reached any other way. . . through acceptance and trust and submission. James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 94:18-19 When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

Seasons change . . . I never change. I Love you

No storm lasts forever. As surely as the summer returns each year, no matter how harsh the winter, so will My peace and joy. Look at Paul. Did I not only sustain him through the imprisonments, beatings, and revilings, but also give him great joy? He knew peace and joy, even when the trials came in waves. His secret was his inner wellspring of interior Life with Me. He kept a running conversation with Me. He humbly followed Me each day. The crowd may have been screaming at him externally, but I was hugging him internally. 1Thess. 5:17-16 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly; Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will] Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good. . . 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

True love is patient and no self-interest

If your patience runs out then you never had patience to begin with. True patience is Love and True Love never ends. I Am the only source of True Love. Ask Me to give you patience through True Love for the difficult ones. Many trials do not bring patience. There are those who suffer repeatedly but have no patience with others. Receiving My Love for you brings patience with others. I Am the only source for Love. My Love is the source of patience. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no Law.… Proverbs 14:29 Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. James 1:26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless. Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus said to His disciples, \”If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?\” James 4:1 What causes conflicts and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from the passions at war within you?

Becoming fit for the Kingdom

The theory of the survival of the fittest is true but only in reverse. Those who survive the wilderness of their time on earth are not the strong, the proud, the talented, the powerful or the attractive. Those who survive the wilderness are the weak, the humble, the needy and the insignificant. They are the ones who want Me and do not dare to even dream about having a future on earth. In their brokenness, they survive each trial as they look longingly at Me as their real Home. They make no plans which remain elusive. They are simple sheep who follow Me to the peaceful pasture of My Presence. They want no more. Therefore they lose nothing. Hence, they survive. They are fit for My Kingdom. The strong are not. Matthew 18:2 Jesus called a little child to stand among them. 3“Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Mark 10:14 When Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Matthew 27:27 And whoever desires to be first among you must be your servant, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
