Blindness vs Blindfolded
Do not confuse blindness with being blindfolded. Blindness is a defect. A sense that I gave you is not being used when you are blind. I placed a blindfold on you as a gift to you. The blindfold protects you from independence. It protects you from pride which causes you to fall. It is also like a weight that causes the muscle of faith to grow stronger. To be blinded to Truth is to accept a defect. To be blindfolded is to accept a gift. Turn from blindness and humbly accept the gift of the blindfold. Isaiah 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 1 Corinthians 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 1 John 2:9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Matthew 15:14 Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. John 9:39 Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”
