Humility and Pride

If you think you are humble, you are not.  Those who are humble cannot detect their humility. Just because you have been beaten up by the world does not mean you are now humble. Humility comes through the Truth of your own sin and grieving over it to the point of pain and a determined repentance. Where there is an absence of humility, there is the presence of pride. Proverbs 22:4 Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. Mark 9:35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.\” Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

The fragrance of humility

Self-awareness brings pride. Look at a little baby who has no awareness of herself and her abilities. She only knows dependency. Humility is so beautiful on you. Ask Me to clothe you with humble dependency. Matthew 5;3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 18:3  Assuredly, I say to you, unless you change and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. Psalm 32:2 How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! 1 Corinthians 4:4 For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.

Humility, truth, then exultation

Ask Me to give you the power of humility. It is mighty for bringing down strongholds. Truth must hurt you first. Then it will heal you and lift you up. James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Becoming fit for the Kingdom

The theory of the survival of the fittest is true but only in reverse. Those who survive the wilderness of their time on earth are not the strong, the proud, the talented, the powerful or the attractive. Those who survive the wilderness are the weak, the humble, the needy and the insignificant. They are the ones who want Me and do not dare to even dream about having a future on earth. In their brokenness, they survive each trial as they look longingly at Me as their real Home. They make no plans which remain elusive. They are simple sheep who follow Me to the peaceful pasture of My Presence. They want no more. Therefore they lose nothing. Hence, they survive. They are fit for My Kingdom. The strong are not. Matthew 18:2 Jesus called a little child to stand among them. 3“Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Mark 10:14 When Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Matthew 27:27 And whoever desires to be first among you must be your servant, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

How much do you really love Me?

I  see a picture of a woman holding broken things that represent people around her, in her hands. She is standing before God with her full hands held up to Him. She is demanding that He fix them. He wants to take her into His Arms but she is holding so much. If she would drop the broken things then He could pick her up and hold her close. Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to His disciples, \”If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. \”For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.\” Philippians 2:7 6 Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to cling to, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.… Luke 13: 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling. Luke 14:26 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters — yes, even his own life — he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.…

In all you do, turn inward to Me

When you eat, ask yourself, \”who am I doing this for?\” Then make your eating an offering to Me. If you are to eat with others, then listen and I will show you how to give Love to them rather than to please yourself. If you have too little food or food you don\’t like, then rejoice. It is a time to be content, humble, and serve Me. If you are eating alone or with others who don\’t want you to speak to them, then rejoice. It is a time to spend in intimacy with Me. If you must eat and work then rejoice. It is a time of offering to Me your will. Be aware of My hovering Presence and Love while you work. Turn inward to Me over and over and offer this work to Me. 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. James 4:8Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
