The Secret to Intimacy

My Love is clean. Therefore it requires the death of all that is unclean within you . . . your flesh (self-love). must die. You must allow Me to bring to your awareness the dirt within you so it can be removed . . . pride, self-centeredness, lust, greed, jealousy, unforgiveness, bitterness, religion, idolatries, and unbelief. This process requires a type of death . . . a death of self. Then there is death on the altar of Love, surrender and trust in Me. This death is serving those difficult ones despite injustice, persecution and pain. This death obeys My most difficult commands. Romans 12:1-2, 9-21 With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him. Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God re-mold your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity. 9 Let us have no imitation Christian love. Let us have a genuine break with evil and a real devotion to good. 10 Let us have real warm affection for one another as between brothers, and a willingness to let the other man have the credit. 11 Let us not allow slackness to spoil our work and let us keep the fires of the spirit burning, as we do our work for God. 12 Base your happiness on your hope in Christ. When trials come endure them patiently, steadfastly maintain the habit of prayer. 13 Give freely to fellow-Christians in want, never grudging a meal or a bed to those who need them. 14 And as for those who try to make your life a misery, bless them. Don’t curse, bless. 15 Share the happiness of those who are happy, the sorrow of those who are sad. 16 Live in harmony with each other. Don’t become snobbish but take a real interest in ordinary people. Don’t become set in your own opinions. 17 Don’t pay back a bad turn by a bad turn, to anyone. Don’t say “it doesn’t matter what people think”, but see that your public behavior is above criticism. 18 As far as your responsibility goes, live at peace with everyone. 19 Never take vengeance into your own hands, my dear friends: stand back and let God punish if he will. For it is written: ‘Vengeance is mine. I will repay.’ 20-21 … these are God’s words: ‘Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head’. Don’t allow yourself to be overpowered with evil. Take the offensive—overpower evil by good!

Be Free

Let Us remove the Love-blockers within you. What blocks you from receiving Our Love? Fear, pride, jealousy, lust, greed, idolatry, anger, unforgiveness, uncontrolled emotion, religion . . . these will replace Our Love in your heart. They must be removed so Truth and Life can take over. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality, 10 no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Peter 2:1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. 1 Peter 1:22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Sin: It is alive; it is relentless

4-26 Sin: It is alive; it is relentless. Genesis 4:6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent? 7 If you do what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Sin comes from within your flesh or nature, and also from outside. If you were to slow down the advance of sin upon your spirit, you would sense a pressure coming either from within your nature or from outside. It begins as a spark that quickly ignites and rises upward as it gains ground within your spirit. The more acceptance it receives, the faster it bursts into flame and advances. Sin is a living force, just as My Love is a Living force. My Love desires you. Sin also desires you. My Love wants to consume you. Sin also wants to eat you alive. Sin eats literal flesh. It eats the mind and the soul. Its appetite is never satisfied. It is relentless. It is alive. It is a being that, when allowed, masters you and eats you. It lives off you in the manner of parasites. A parasite cannot live without a breathing host. The irony is the sin or parasite must have a host to remain alive, but yet it literally eats its source of life. Think of anger. There is a trigger or spark from your selfish flesh or from outside you. It jumps into a flame in a second. You feel it climb upward as your flesh-thoughts give it acceptance. Your thoughts, which give sin permission, also give it authority to rule over your spirit. Now your spirit is locked in a prison, while the anger has freedom to roam your mind, emotions, and body. It continues to grow as it literally feeds on you, eating you alive. After a while, it calms down like a ravenous man calms down after eating a full meal. It still rules you, so it will become hungry and feed on you again. It will also open the door for more sin entities on the outside to join it. Together they feed on you and reproduce. What began as anger, then increased to include jealousy, pride, greed, lust, manipulation, and impatience. You are not helpless against sin. You have authority to rule over it. First, recognize what is happening. Identify the enemy in your flesh and invading from without. Ask Holy Spirit’s help. Then use your will to refuse to cooperate. Do not excuse it or give it permission to be within you. Then look to Me for help. I will remind you of your power that I gave you to bind darkness and cast it out. I gave you the key of authority. Use it.

The Measure of Maturity

The measure of maturity is unconditional self sacrificing love. Abilities and responsibility are not measures of maturity. Responsibility can be supported and motivated by greed and pride. It takes long life and many days of suffering to learn how to love unconditionally and selflessly. Many never do while on the earth. They remain as immature self centered children and must be taken care of by the mature forgiving one assigned to them by God. Ephesians 4:13-15 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 1 Corinthians 14:20 Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; yet in evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Romans 15:1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. 1 John 3:16-18 We know love by this that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
