focus

Where is your focus?

The secret to endurance is to keep your eyes and desire focused on Me and My Love for you. Do not look at yourself and your hardship. That will lead to emotional pressure and self-pity. Do not look for escape. That will lead to frustration and anger. Look only at Me. Focus on My Presence and My Voice. Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 8:17-18 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans :28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Keep Your Eyes on Me

When you self-punish for your sin you stop looking at Me and look only at yourself.  You stop listening to Me and listen to yourself. Self-condemnation only leads to more pride, more self-righteousness, more judgmentalism, and more self-centeredness. You cannot follow Me when you take your focus off Me to stare at your sin and unworthiness. Focus on My Love. Romans 7: 24-25  Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Faith . . . not Sight

Practice letting go of physical sight and sound, and focus on Me instead. Let go of exterior and remain deep within your spirit with Me. Imagine yourself wearing a blindfold while I Am holding you and leading you down the path. Feel My nearness and Love protecting you. They are My rod and staff for you. Your voluntary blindness will take you further into Me. We walk together by trusting Me . . . not by your eyes and ears . . . close your eyes over and over. Practice with Me. Faith . . . not sight. Practice. Hebrews 12:1Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you, 8 or everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Thoughts Day 8

When the electricity goes out and you are in a dark room, what do you do? Do you like being in the dark place? Do you have control over the darkness? What do you focus on? Is there a tiny bit of light that is coming from somewhere? Will that small sliver of light be the place to put your attention? Will the light coming through a crack lead you out of the dark place? Was that light always there, even before the power went out and the artificial light stopped? Do you want more real light? What does it do to the darkness? Where do you physically go to get real light? Where can you go to get real light inside your mind? Which gives you more physical freedom, light or darkness? Which gives you more mental and emotional freedom, light or darkness? Which do you experience the most each day? What does freedom feel like? What does peace feel like? Is there a small sliver of light in your inner life? Can that light be covered up like pulling the curtains over a window? Can the curtains be removed again? Are you afraid to remove the curtains? When you are in a dark room, do you see things that aren’t really there? When you are in a dark room, do things look different? When the light comes into the room, how do those things look? How do they make you feel when you see them in the light? Did you lose sleep? Does darkness inside your mind make you lose sleep? Can light help? Where is a tiny sliver of light to focus on? Do you want more light within your mind? Do you have enough light to see the way things really are? Or are you seeing shadows? John 8:12 I am the light of the world James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change

Focusing on My Voice

Listening to My Voice is like using a pair of binoculars. First, you must decide what you want to focus on – My Voice or the workings of your mind. When you decide to focus on My Voice and move away from the workings of your mind, you will find It. Next, you must clear the fuzziness by fine tuning your focus. The more you fine tune your focus, the stronger your reception of My Voice becomes. Finally, with the sharp and clear sound of My Voice coming to you, you must steady yourself so that disturbances do not throw you off focus. You may have to repeat this process many times. The measure of your ability to remain in focus depends on the strength of your desire to hear Me. The greater your desire, the longer you can stay in focus. Practice using the binoculars of your soul eyes. Practice looking for Me within you and then fine tuning your focus on My Words coming to you. I will help you. You won\’t do this alone. I Love you! Romans 7:18 for to will is present with me . . . Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Colossians 1:9 and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; Hebrews 3:15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice . . . \” James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

You are a new creation

Remember My Dear One, I see potential that you don\’t see. I see a priceless gem when you only see a rock. I see a seed of Life buried under the darkness when you see only the darkness. Trust My eyes and not your own. Keep moving forward with Me. I will give you strength. Focus on My Words and My Presence. Romans 8:8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.   Colossians 2:10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; 2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.
