They are like fly paper

Emotions, once given permission to spring forth, cannot be controlled. They do not reveal Truth. They are like fly paper. They will stick to whatever is in the room. Remain at peace and rest at all times. Proverbs 13:3 People who watch their mouths guard their lives, but those who open their lips are ruined. Proverbs 11:29 Those who trouble their family will inherit the wind. The fool will be servant to the wise. Proverbs 12:13-16 The wicked are trapped by the transgressions of their lips, but the righteous escape from distress. From the fruit of their speech, people are well satisfied; their work results in reward. Fools see their own way as right, but the wise listen to advice. Fools reveal their anger right away, but the shrewd hide their contempt. Proverbs 12:18 Some chatter on like a stabbing sword, but a wise tongue heals.

Jealousy: Unyielding as the Grave

Jealousy is like a defective gun. It fires at the object while exploding in the hands of the owner. Detach from all but Me. Then you will be safe from deadly jealousy. Attach to Me alone. Then you will bless others and not bring a curse on them. Love My Love for you. Only it will fulfill you. Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. Proverbs 14:30 A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. Proverbs 27:4 Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy? 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Psalm 143:8-9 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. 9 Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you. Song of Solomon 8:6-7 6 Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. 7 Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned.
