Cast Out Pride, Loose Love and Compassion
Remember your own struggles with sin and faults. Remember desiring mercy and encouragement. Bind and cast out the demons of criticism and pride. Loose humble Love instead. Real Love overlooks faults. Love one another. Matthew 7:3-5 3 Why do you look at the [insignificant] speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the [egregious] log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite (play-actor, pretender), first get the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you. Leviticus 19:17-18 Do not bear a grudge against others, but settle your differences with them, so that you will not commit a sin because of them. Do not take revenge on others or continue to hate them, but love your neighbors as you love yourself. I am the Lord. Romans 12:15 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
