Straddling the Fence

There is no such thing as neutrality. A country may declare itself to be neutral during wars between its neighbors, but it is not neutral. Inaction is action. Allowing sin to exist is not neutrality. Refusing to get involved is getting involved. Your answer cannot be both “yes” and “no.” Neutrality is a lie of Satan.

Revelation 3:15-16 I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

Psalm 128:1-2 Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. 2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Matthew 5:20 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Matthew 7:15-18 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

Psalm 139:21-22 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies.

Romans 16:17-18 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

Matthew 18:6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

2 Chronicles 19:1-2 Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned in safety to his house in Jerusalem. But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

Psalm 119:160 The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.

James 5:20 Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins
