Letters to Pearl

Blame

There was a beautiful town where everyone lived in peace and harmony.
One day, a traveler passed through the town. He stopped at the well in the center of the town and watched the people as they came and went.

When the families came together to enjoy a holiday, the traveler said, “I see that each one of you fine people has a little bit of pain in your life. I can take some of that pain away.”

He took out a bottle and poured the contents into the well.

A year later, the traveler returned. He smiled as he walked through the empty, war-torn town.

Beside the well was his bottle.

The label on the bottle had but one word – BLAME.
