Letters to Pearl

Knowledge or Faith?

The world teaches that empirical, or evidence based knowledge, is the only reliable source of knowledge that exists. This is true for the world which is passing away. All facts, figures and theories will perish with the world.

Knowledge is useful, like a tool is useful to build a house for the homeless. But, how is the homeless man helped if he no longer sleeps in the rain yet in his soul the storms rage on?

When you desire to walk in the Kingdom of God while your feet still touch the ground of earth, have only a little regard for knowledge. I will use earth knowledge as a ticket to open the door for you to walk through to where prisoners are waiting for My Love to set them free.

Two men look at the sky. One sees the clouds and understands the weather through evidence based knowledge. The other looks at the sky through the eyes of faith, and has glimpses of Heaven and angels. Who walks away with the most help for his journey?

  • 2 Kings 6:15 When an attendant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. His servant said, “Alas, master! What shall we do?” 16 He replied, “Do not be afraid, for there are more with us than there are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed: “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the servant, and he saw; the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
