The exchange of old life for new begins with your thoughts, then includes your words, and then moves to your actions. Here you will feel the pain of death as you do the opposite of what kept your old ways alive. Your old self will not want to do the new Love-actions. It will feel pain as you do them. The pain it will feel is the death of the old self. Pain comes before death. Submit to the pain of these Love-actions and you will see your old self die each time.
