The Beatitudes

Blessed are the weak . . .

Blessed are the weak. They find intimacy with Me more easily than the strong. Pray that the strong become weak, so they will seek Me.

  • Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
    Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who suffer . . .
Blessed are you who suffer. Those who are broken turn to Me. Those who do not suffer do not run after Me.

  • Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who are comforted . . .
Do not feel unfortunate that you are among those who suffer. Suffering brought you into My Arms. Suffering is a binding cord that keeps you there.

  • Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

  • Matthew 5:11 Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

Let Me hold you during your suffering . . .
Do not feel sorry for yourself when you are suffering. You are in My Arms. Feel sorry for those who are not motivated to desire My Arms.

  • Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

  • 2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.…

Blessed are the needy . . .
The needy will be satisfied when they seek Me alone.

  • Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, 17comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.
