Letters to Pearl

Matthew 7:13-14

  • Matthew 7:13-14  (ESV). A13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

The narrow gate encompasses only one difficult road. It is a road filled with death. This is the death of your flesh as you endure the crosses I have placed along your path.

Each time you go against your own feelings and silently, humbly endure pain inflicted by the difficult ones around you, you move down the narrow way.

By the time you reach the end, you will be able to see how the mercy and goodness flowed from your acts, and you and I together brought Life to the difficult ones I assigned to you.

Only a few continue all the way down the hard road to the end.

Most turn back and take the easy way out. Mercy and goodness do not follow them. They do not die for Me, as I died for them.

  • Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
