Matthew 6:9-13 – Papa’s Prayer

Jesus teaches us how to pray:

Our Father in Heaven, Holy is Your Name.

  • Papa, You are my papa.
    You Love me!
Love is holy and holiness is Love. So, that means You Love me!  You Love me, Your little child!
    Papa, I need You.
    Papa, You want me.
    Let’s be together now.
Here I am, the one You Love.
I’m here, my Papa. I’m listening to You now, Papa. I’m quiet before You now, Papa.

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

  • Oh Papa, I want You to be inside of me now. Don’t just be on the outside of me. Come and stay on the inside of me now.
My good and kind Papa, come inside of my soul.
Heaven is full of Love, Light and peace. So, my special Papa, put Heaven inside of me too.
Do what you want inside of me, just like everything you want is done in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

  • Oh Papa, I’m starving for Your Love for me!
I need You to Love me.
I want to feel You hugging me.
I want to hear You saying Your Loving Words to me.
I need to drink in Your affection.
Let me see the Love You have for me in Your eyes.
I need to eat Your great Love for me.
    Here I am.
Pick me up and hold me inside my soul.
    I’m still and quiet.
    I’m waiting.

And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.

  • Papa, here I am.
You know what I have thought, said and done. Oh my Papa, I’m so ashamed.
Please take this dirt off of me.
Papa, take the darkness out of me.
Papa, make me brand new. I don’t want to be the old me anymore.
I want to be a new me – the child You made me to be.
You created me one time. Please create me over again.
    Do it again, my Papa!
Make me into pure Love and Light, just the way You want.
I want to be a child again.
I want to be clean again.
Oh my Papa, wash me with Your Love!
  • Papa, I hurt people.
    And people have hurt me.
Papa, You see the pain inside me.
You even feel this pain. You felt everything that was done and said to me, just like I did.
So, Papa, I need Your help.
Make me let go of what happened.
They didn’t know what they were doing. Just like I don’t know how much terrible pain I have brought into the world.
    Forgive me and forgive them.
    Papa! Forgive us all!
So I take Jesus’ Blood inside of my soul.
  • And Papa, I can’t Love these people as long as I keep remembering what they did.
So, Holy Spirit, please erase my memory of the past sins and pain. Wipe everybody’s record from my mind.
I don’t want punishment for me or for them.
I want all to be deleted.

And don’t lead me give in to temptation but rescue me from the evil one.

  • Papa, I really need You to talk to me all the time. I need to know what to do.
Fix the mess I made and please help me not to make anymore.
I promise to listen to You talking to me all day everyday and do what You say. You will lead me. I will follow.
Jesus says He will be my Shepherd and talk to me. Help me to be quiet and listen to the Words He speaks to my heart.
I know He will talk to me. I’m ready to hear Him.
You gave me ears to hear Him. Please open my ears now.

For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

  • Papa, You and Jesus and Holy Spirit are beyond huge!
You are here and in control.
You have all power so I don’t have to be afraid.
I’m Your child and You protect me.
You are pure Love and Love doesn’t quit or leave.
    You Love me!
    You want me!
And Papa, You know everything. I really know nothing.
I don’t see everything like You do.
You are the big One, not me.
I bow to You and Your goodness.
I want You to be the boss.
You are my big, good, Papa boss!

Amen
